Open Data
The full dataset behind lanthanides.io is open. Every price carries its source; nothing is fabricated or interpolated. The data lives as versioned files in git, and is served here as JSON and CSV exports.

Views of the dataset
Views derived from the data below. Each states its own sample size; nothing is drawn that the data cannot support. (Price trend lines live on each element page and appear only once a tier has enough distinct observation days. See methodology.)
Coverage by element
How much price data backs each tracked element. Thin coverage is shown, not hidden; transparency about data density is part of the provenance-first model. Each tile links to the element.
Control by category
Where active Chinese export control concentrates across the four material classes.
| Light Rare Earths | 5 / 7 | |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy Rare Earths | 9 / 9 | |
| Strategic & Rare Metals | 5 / 11 | |
| Semiconductor Metals | 3 / 4 |
Bars show the share of each category currently under active Chinese export control (22 of 31 tracked elements). Control is concentrated in the rare earths. The count beside each bar is the exact figure (controlled / total in the category).

Latest retail reference ÷ latest bulk benchmark, ranked by premium. The Basis column shows the form each side is quoted in. A metal-retail ÷ oxide-bulk ratio is not a like-for-like spread. Click a column to sort.
